STAKEHOLDER SUMMIT

The Office of Indian Education (OIE) invites all Indigenous education stakeholders from across the state of Arizona to participant in the OIE Stakeholder Summit! Participants will gather in-person over the course of 3 days to discuss, evaluate and create programs and policies that support Indigenous education for students and communities within Arizona.
 

SUMMER 2024
THURSDAY, JULY 18TH -
SATURDAY, JULY 20TH

OIE is offering four tracks - Please read the descriptions below to identify the best track for your respective role!

  1. STUDENTS

    OIE is defining student as youth entering 8th grade through 12th grade. This track also includes individuals that are teacher candidates currently attending post-secondary institutions

  2. PARENT/CAREGIVER

    OIE is defining this role as adults who have children that attend K-12 schools in Arizona and are NOT attending the summit as a representative of a school district, charter network or tribal nation.

  3. EDUCATION STAFF

    OIE is defining this role as adults who serve K-12 students and NOT serving in a leadership or administrative capacity. This includes but is not limited to classified/certified staff, tribal liaisons, Native American program staff, or any individual supporting Indigenous students.

  4. LEADERSHIP/ADMINISTRATOR

    OIE is defining this role as adults who serve in a leadership capacity within K-12 educational environments OR Tribal, State, Federal and Non-profit entities. This includes individuals such as district admins, tribal education department directors or CEOs of non-profit organizations.
