The University of Arizona offers a spectrum of opportunities for graduate students with interests in the Data Sciences. Students can choose Data Science as both a major or a minor. MS degrees are offered in Statistics & Data Science, Data Science, Data Science and Applied Statistics.
MS and PhD in Statistics & Data Science Graduate Interdisciplinary Program
Students develop core knowledge in statistical theory and methodology, statistical computing and machine learning, and emerging statistical areas of data science.
MS in Data Science
Program is offered in-person and online. Students take core courses in data mining and recovery, data analysis and visualization, and data ethics while choosing from a number of dynamic electives, including machine learning, cyberinfrastructure, data warehousing, database development, data science and public interests, and advanced computational linguistics.
Professional Master's in Data Science and Applied Statistics
The design of this program allows for both a rapid completion to the master’s degree and the ability to advance by taking one course at a time. The curriculum is separated into smaller pieces consisting of a three-course sequence. Each of these sequences results in a graduate certificate.
