The Data Sciences Academy was invited to lead the upcoming Arizona Indian Education Association professional development. Our first goal is to share a resource with AIEA, called appreciative inquiry. "Appreciative Inquiry is an asset-based approach to organizational and social engagement that utilizes questions and dialogue to help participants uncover existing strengths, advantages, or opportunities in their communities, organizations, or teams," (Organizing Engagement).
Our secondary goal is to meet the needs of the state of Arizona and ask permission to use the shared goals in our work with Natives Who Code. We plan to follow up with our progress in Natives Who Code at a later meeting date and hold ourselves accountable to our relatives in the Arizona Indian Education Association.
