Michelle Higgins, BS Mathematics, MS Physics. As the Associate Director of UArizona’s Societal Impact, Higgins works to bring together people, resources, and research to build a more diverse population of life-long STEM learners. Higgins is active in local and national initiatives for STEM equity. She currently serves as Arizona Vice President and STEM Chair for the American Association of University Women and is a national advisor for Twin Cities Public Media’s SciGirls Connect 2 and Latina SciGirls. Higgins is a third degree black belt in Tang Soo Do and is continuing her training in Kenpo Karate.
