​The UArizona Data Sciences K-14 Education and Outreach team received the prestigious ​​Indigenous Resilience Center and​  the Arizona Institute for Resilient​ Environments and Societies Community Impact Award. Our work will create a series of meetings using Appreciative Inquiry (AI) that will allow Tribal community members to
  • discover the “best of” Pascua Yaqui education, community strengths that support youth development, and current successes they can build on;
  • dream of what computer science education would look like if they took their successes to the next level; and
  • design a workforce pathway that centers and prioritizes Indigenous knowledges and values into the heart of computer science education.
